The new Renault Duster has proven very popular since it was launched in October last year, further complemented by the introduction of 4×4 models earlier this year. However, with more affordable compact SUVs entering the market, Renault decided to launch a TechRoad derivative, replacing the Dynamique 4×2 model.
The TechRoad comes with 17-inch Diamond Cut wheels, silver roof rails, front and rear skid plates, and chrome trim for the grille. Its exterior is enhanced by distinctive bespoke badging and red strips on the side doors, with the new Red Fusion colour bound to be a popular choice.
Inside, its upholstery features a high-quality finish, with red detailing on the seats and striking red interior finishes. As the rest of the range, the dashboard has a strong ergonomic design, with numerous clever storage spaces, improved accessibility of controls, and an enhanced Multimedia experience.
The TechRoad also offers a host of state-of-the-art equipment, including on-board GPS Navigation with Smartphone mirror compatibility, automatic climate control, speed limiter, and cruise control functions. It is available with the two versions of the 1.5 dCi turbodiesel engine, with the 4×2 manual using the 66 kW/210 Nm version, while the 4×2 EDC model uses the 80 kW/250 Nm version.
The Duster TechRoad comes standard with a five-year/150,000 km mechanical warranty and a six-year anti-corrosion warranty, and a standard three-year/45,000 km service plan applies. Its recommended retail prices are R293,900 for the 1.5 dCi TechRoad 4×2 and R327,900 for the TechRoad EDC 4×2.
