STYLISH NEW XUV500

FLAGSHIP MAHINDRA UPDATED

Indian auto giant Mahindra has updated its XUV500 flagship model with a fresh new design, a host of new comfort features, and two new models with auto transmissions. First launched here in 2012 and upgraded in 2015, Mahindra has now beefed up the value offering with the new XUV500 W4 entering the market at a very competitive R299,999.

Even better, is a finance offer of R4,999 per month with a guaranteed future value after four years, combined with the XUV500s service plan and extended mechanical warranty. This will ensure a low monthly cost of ownership throughout the life cycle of the model. Similarly, the XUV500 W6 Automatic is offered at R359,999, making it one of the most competitively priced auto seven-seater SUVs in the local market.

The 2018 XUV500 features a redesigned grille with new sharp-cut chrome highlights, new daytime running lights and headlights, plus fog lamps that, in turn, form part of a redesigned lower bumper. Additional chrome detailing has been added at the lower edges of the doors and redesigned D-pillar applique. The tailgate and combination taillights have been redesigned, and a larger roof-mounted rear spoiler and new rear bumper with blacked-out bottom scuff present a completely new visual signature.

Engines and drivetrains stay unchanged, but the W10 offers an infotainment system with a voice-prompted satellite navigation and video viewing as standard. Also new is a sunroof and a push-button Start/ Stop system in the W10. Pricing is very competitive, with the top W8 and W10 auto models available for R403,999 and R419,999 respectively.
