Levante Trofeo

A GTS-model thinly disguised

The Levante Trofeo – one of the most powerful and fastest production Maserati vehicles ever –was revealed at the New York Auto Show. This ultimate Maserati SUV is essentially a thinly disguised GTS-model, and the Trident’s answer to the Lamborghini Urus.

The initial limited series of the Levante Trofeo, intended for select enthusiasts in the US and Canada, is equipped with one of the most powerful engines ever fitted in a Maserati – a 3.8-litre Twin Turbo V8 that has been engineered to perfectly mate with the Q4 intelligent all-wheel drive system. It delivers an astounding 440 kW of power and 730 Nm of peak torque. It also boasts the highest output per litre (1 16.3 kW/litre) of any Maserati powerplant ever produced and is assembled by Ferrari in Maranello, Italy.

It is one of the fastest SUVs ever built with a top speed of over 300 km/h. With a remarkable power/weight ratio of 3.6 kg/hp the Levante Trofeo can reach 100 km/h in only 3.9 seconds, and needs only 34.5 metres to come to a complete stop from 100 km/h.

New carbon fibre exterior design cues accompany 22-inch forged aluminium wheels and the exclusive interior of the Levante Trofeo feature sport seats wrapped in full-grain “Pieno Fiore” natural leather. A specific “Corsa” driving mode with launch control and the Maserati Integrated Vehicle Control (IVC) system ensure improved driving dynamics.

Production of the fastest Levante Trofeo in Maserati history starts in June at the refurbished Mirafiori Maserati plant in Turin, Italy.
