Limited-edition SV Coupé unveiled
Nearly 50 years ago, Land Rover created the luxury SUV sector with the introduction of the Range Rover, and it is now defining a new genre with the first full-size luxury SUV coupé in the world: the limited-edition two-door Range Rover SV Coupé.
Created by Land Rover Design and Special Vehicle Operations (SVO), the SV Coupé is an exemplar of design, craftsmanship, and capability. No more than 999 will be hand-crafted by SVO for clients worldwide – with an extremely limited number headed to South Africa.
The dramatic two-door silhouette of the four-seat Range Rover SV Coupé alludes to its unique heritage whilst being thoroughly modern and contemporary. Its purity of line is perfectly complemented by elegant power-close doors with frameless glass. Carefully curated body colour combinations are offset by unique side vent and grille designs and this is also the first Range Rover with a 23-inch wheel option.
The exquisite design craftsmanship extends to the inside too, with semi-aniline leather front seats with gradated diamond quilt design that is unique to the SV Coupé. Each vehicle will be hand-assembled to the personal specification of the client.
The SV Coupé is also the fastest-ever full-size Range Rover with a 266 km/h top speed. Powered by a 416 kW 5.0-litre Supercharged V8 petrol engine, the SV Coupé can hit 0-100 km/h in just 5.3 seconds. The suspension is tuned to provide a more driver-focused edge and its ride height is lowered by 8 mm. Yet it still has a 900 mm maximum wading depth and a maximum towing capacity of 3.5 tonnes.
