Nissan South Africa has responded to the recent unleashing of limited edition and/or special derivative bakkies, such as the Ford Ranger Raptor, the Toyota Hilux GR Sport, (and the upcoming Legend 50) and the Isuzu D-Max Arctic Trucks AT35, with the introduction of the more rugged, redefined Navara Stealth.
Designed to be ultra-functional and comfortable, according to Nissan, the Navara Stealth is modelled on the Navara luxury edition and comes with several design updates. Standard silver and chrome detailing on the exterior give way to sleek, black trims; while newly added orange accents – on the grill and front bumper, side mirrors, and side steps – give the Stealth a character that is both edgy and bold. A roll-bar, side steps, and black alloy wheels complete the picture.
The two-tone colouration is carried through into the interior, with seats featuring black leather side bolsters and orange material inserts and stitching that both contrast and complement one another. The Navara Stealth will be available in two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive configuration featuring the twin-turbodiesel engine rated for 140 kW power and 450 Nm torque.
The pickup also comes with an array of Nissan Intelligent Mobility technologies, including the Intelligent Key System, the Intelligent 4×4 system, Hill Start Assist, and Intelligent Around View Monitor that uses four cameras to give a 360-degree, aerial view of the vehicle and its surrounds. The Stealth retails from R582,200 for the 4×2 Double Cab to R659,900 for the 4×4 Double Cab auto model.
