More I-Pace accolades

The Jaguar I-Pace, already crowned the 2019 World Car of the Year, World Car Design of the Year, World Green Car, European Car of the Year, and German, Norwegian and United Kingdom Car of the Year, has won three more titles at the International Engine + Powertrain of the Year Awards 2019.

The all-electric car won Best Electric Powertrain, Best New Engine, and the 350 to 450PS category as announced at the Engine Expo + The Powertrain Technology Show in Stuttgart, Germany. The panel of 70 motoring journalists from 31 countries considered key characteristics, such as performance, driveability, energy efficiency, and refinement and the titles recognise the technical excellence of the zero emissions powertrain of the I-Pace.

The 90 kWh lithium-ion battery of the I-Pace enables a range of up to 470 km (WLTP). It is capable of charging from 0-80% in a maximum of 72 minutes using a 60 kW DC-charger, or 0-100% in around 12 hours when using a 7 kW AC wall-box – ideal for overnight charging at home.

Integrating the motors into the front and rear axles deliver all-wheel drive for outstanding traction and control in all conditions. They also enable high levels of regenerative braking – up to 0.4G. This maximises range, and intuitive ‘single pedal’ driving in many conditions. The I-Pace has now already received 66 global awards since it was revealed little over a year ago.
