NEW PANAMERICANA EDITION RELEASE
Volkswagen has extended its Caravelle line-up with a special edition PanAmericana derivative that combines the comfort of the Caravelle with the trusted 4Motion drive system from the German manufacturer.
Striking external features of the PanAmericana include front and rear bumpers painted in a textured effect, underbody protection at the front and the back, side sill attachments, stone guard film along the lower sides of the vehicle, and 17-inch Devonport alloy wheels.
Tinted rear windows, smoked LED rear lights, a chrome radiator grille, and the classy PanAmericana logo on the B-pillars makes a stylish visual statement, and the concept of a stylish all-rounder with gravel B-road capability is carried through with a multifunctional leather steering wheel, leather gearshift knob, Climatronic climate control, entry lights with PanAmericana lettering and pedals with a stainless steel look.
The interior features a mix of high quality, yet hard-wearing materials, such as seats with the special ‘Mithy’ black and white insert, Alcantara pads, and edging U-seams in contrasting colour, as well as optional bi-colour leather trim. The PanAmericana also has rugged rubber floor mats that can cope with muddy mountain bikes and hiking shoes. The Caravelle PanAmericana is available with a 2.0 BiTDI 132 kW engine with 400 Nm of torque, mated to a seven-speed DSG gearbox and 4Motion system. The retrial price of the PanAmericana is R955,400, which includes a five-year/60,000 km Automotion Maintenance Plan, three year/120,000 km warranty, and 12-year anti-corrosion warranty.
