VW introduces seven-seat Allspace
Volkswagen has expanded its best-selling Tiguan SUV range with a newly designed seven-seater model – the bigger, particularly elegant and versatile Tiguan Allspace. The new model derivative has a 110 mm longer wheelbase, now measuring 2,791 mm, and a total length of 4,701 mm.
It has a slightly altered hood design and radiator grille with chrome trim strips, some of which extend into the headlights. It also differs from its ‘normal sibling in that it has larger side window in the D-pillar, and a longer rear section that offers an extra 60 mm of knee room for rear passengers. Also an additional 115 litres of cargo volume, however the third row of seats are strictly for children …
The Allspace is available in Trendline, Comfortline, and Highline trim, and in front and all-wheel drive variants. Three petrol (TSI) engines and one diesel (TDI) engine is offered. All-wheel drive including 4MOTION with driving profile selector is available on the Comfortline and Highline models and like its normal five-seat counterpart it can be ordered with R-Line package or an optional off-road package with special engine underbody protection.
