The Range Rover Velar mid-size SUV is now taken to the next level with the exclusive SVAutobiography Dynamic Edition. Designed as the pinnacle of the Velar line-up, it has been developed by Land Rover Special Vehicle Operations and is powered by a 405 kW 5.0-litre V8 supercharged engine with a range of unique design enhancements.
It is the second Range Rover to wear the coveted SVAutobiography badge, it can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 4.5 seconds, and is capable of 274 km/h. Uprated brakes and suspension components, plus bespoke settings ensure the Dynamic Edition mixes personality, performance, and luxurious go-anywhere capability in equal measures.
It is distinguished by visual enhancements and unique trim finishes, including a new front bumper with larger air intakes, a new grille, and lower side mouldings combine with a revised rear bumper. A transmission tunnel undertray ensures the fastest Velar cuts through the air more efficiently. It is the only Velar available in Satin Byron Blue and a contrasting Narvik Black roof as standard.
The SVAutobiography Dynamic Edition has distinctive forged aluminium wheels and red brake calipers and the interior has a carefully curated combination of trim finishes and upholstery. Twin-stitched, perforated and quilted Windsor leather is unique to the model.
All the drivetrain and suspension components have been honed to deliver a more focused driving experience and engineers spent 63,900 hours fine-tuning the unique calibration to optimise the ride and handling. The Velar SVAutobiography Dynamic Edition will be priced from R1 714 000 and will be introduced to South Africa in the second half of this year.
