Isuzu launches exclusive KB
Isuzu Motors South Africa has now also succumbed to the attraction of a black edition, already seen in the Toyota Hilux and Ford Ranger ranges, by adding a dash of exclusivity and appeal to its X-Rider model.
The X-Rider Black – a limited edition all-black model is now available as part of the popular KB double cab line-up. The X-Rider has created a niche of its own with its distinctive styling elements and upmarket features, setting it apart from the rest of the range.
Initially introduced in 2016 as a 700-unit limited edition, demand for the X-Rider led to it being added as a permanent fixture of the KB range. The X-Rider Black is painted exclusively in Black Meet Kettle, giving the special model an aggressive and distinctive appearance. An extensive list of unique features includes a black front bumper guard, projector headlamps with integrated LED daytime running lights, front fog lamps, 18-inch alloy wheels, red Isuzu badges, blacked-out B-pillars, black side steps, and a black sports bar in the load bay featuring the X-Rider logo. The cabin is imbued with black leather seats picked out with red bolster stitching and the “X-Rider” logo embroidered on the headrests. Red stitching is also used for the leather-trimmed steering wheel with a red Isuzu badge, and on the gear lever boot.
Interestingly, the X-Rider Black is only available in KB250 double cab form with 4×2 and a manual transmission. Its price of R426,300 includes a five-year/120 000 km warranty, roadside assistance and a five-year/90 000 km service plan.
